How do I get a quote?+
Call (469) 730-0292, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm. Tell us how many screens or doors you need and roughly what size, and we will quote the work — or bring a screen into the shop at 622 S Westmoreland Rd, Dallas, and we will measure it on the spot.
Where are you located?+
622 S Westmoreland Rd, Dallas, TX 75211 — in Oak Cliff, southwest Dallas. Screen work for homes and businesses across the southwest side of the metroplex.
What are your hours?+
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The shop is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Should I repair my screens or replace them?+
If the frame is straight and the corners are sound, rescreening — new mesh and spline in your existing frame — restores it for a fraction of a new screen's cost. Bent, cracked or corroded frames are better replaced. Bring one in and we will tell you honestly which side of that line yours falls on.
Can I bring my screens to the shop?+
Yes — that is how a lot of our work arrives. Drop off torn or sun-rotted screens at 622 S Westmoreland Rd and pick them up rescreened. Label which window each screen came from; it speeds up refitting at home.
Do you serve my part of Dallas?+
Our Service Areas page lists the neighborhoods and suburbs we cover from Oak Cliff — including Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie and Irving. If yours is nearby but not listed, call (469) 730-0292 and ask.
How do you measure for custom window screens? (Custom Window Screens)+
We measure the opening itself — the channel the screen sits in — not the old screen, which may have shrunk, bowed or been wrong from the start. Bring the old screen in if you have it; we will still verify against the window's measurements before building.
What mesh should I choose? (Custom Window Screens)+
Standard fiberglass for most windows. Fine mesh if tiny insects get through your current screens. Pet-resistant mesh on any window or door a dog or cat can reach. We will show you samples at the shop so you can judge the view and airflow yourself.
Is rescreening really cheaper than new screens? (Screen Repair & Rescreening)+
Yes — typically half or less of a new custom screen, because the frame is the expensive part and yours is reused. That is why the frame check matters: a sound frame makes rescreening the smart money every time.
How long does rescreening take? (Screen Repair & Rescreening)+
Individual bring-in screens are quick shop work; a whole house of screens takes longer and depends on the count and mesh. We will give you the timeframe when you drop off or when we measure — call (469) 730-0292 for the current turnaround.
Can you fit a screen door to an odd-size opening? (Screen Doors)+
Yes — older Dallas homes rarely have book-standard doorways. We measure the actual opening and fit the door to it, adjusting for out-of-square frames on site. Genuinely unusual sizes are quoted honestly at measuring.
My screen door slams and drags. Is it worth repairing? (Screen Doors)+
Usually, yes. Dragging is often hinges, a closer or corner joints — repairable items. If the frame itself is racked or corroded, we will show you why replacement is the better spend before you pay for either.
Why does my sliding screen door keep jumping the track? (Patio & Sliding Screen Doors)+
Almost always worn rollers or a door sitting unevenly because one roller has collapsed. Sometimes the frame is bent from being forced. All three are diagnosable in minutes — bring photos or have us look at measuring, and we will tell you which fix yours needs.
Can a sliding screen door be rescreened like a window? (Patio & Sliding Screen Doors)+
Yes — the process is the same, just taller. The frame comes out, old mesh and spline are removed, and new screening is splined in. It is also the right time to replace rollers, since the door is already off the track.
How fast can a broken window be made secure? (Glass Replacement)+
Call (469) 730-0292 and describe the break. Broken glass can often be measured promptly; the replacement time depends on whether the glass is a cut-to-size single pane or an insulated or tempered unit that must be fabricated to order. We will give you the real timeline on the call, not a guess.
My double-pane window is foggy inside. Does the whole window need replacing? (Glass Replacement)+
Usually not. Fogging means the insulated unit's seal failed — the unit itself can be replaced within your existing frame and sash, restoring clarity and insulation for much less than a full window replacement.
Do I need to replace all my windows at once? (Windows & Doors)+
Rarely. Windows fail one elevation at a time — usually the sun and weather side first. We will rank your units by condition and replace what has actually failed, with a written plan for the rest when you are ready.
Can you repair a window instead of replacing it? (Windows & Doors)+
Often, yes: glass, balances, latches, weatherstripping and screens are all repairable items, and this shop does each of them. Replacement is for failed frames, rotted sashes and units whose parts no longer exist — we will show you which of yours qualify.
